On December 6, Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia Prof. Zviad Gabisonia met with the academic staff and students of Caucasus University. Presentation was opened by the president of the Caucasus University Kakha Shengelia. 

Director-General of the Foundation gave a presentation - "New Phase of Integration of Georgian Science into the European Area - New Opportunities for Scientists", spoke about the importance of Georgia's membership of the EU's Interstate Organization for Science and Innovation - EURAXESS - for wider opportunities and new services for Georgian scientists. He noted that the development of Georgian Studies, supporting scientific projects against attempts to falsify Georgia's history and making them known to the international community are state priority for the Foundation. He introduced new target calls announced by the Foundation for the first time in history: call for Promotion of Scientific Research Projects and International Scientific Events in Occupied Territories of Georgia and call for Promotion of Scientific Research Projects and International Scientific Events in Occupied Territories of Georgia, also scientific publication grants call, as well as Caucasus studies’ scientific projects which will be announced shortly. At the end of the meeting, Kakha Shengelia, President of Caucasus University, thanked the Director General for the visit and wished him success in his future activities. Finally, Prof. Zviad Gabisonia answered the questions of the young scientists and the audience.
