Meeting of the Director General of the Rustaveli Foundation at the Institute of History and Ethnology

On December 13, Zviad Gabisonia, Director General of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, met with scientists of the Ivane Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnology and viewed unique archival material of the Institute. Director of the institute Giorgi Cheishvili addressed the participants of the meeting.

Zviad Gabisonia talked about important issues in the development of science of Georgia, the innovations planned by the Rustaveli Science Foundation, new programs and calls.

It was noted that the development of the Georgian Studies, supporting scientific projects against attempts to falsify Georgia's history and making them known to the international community are of state importance to the Foundation; Zviad Gabisonia congratulated the staff of the Institute on winning the first Targeted Grant Call announced for the first time in the history of the Foundation – winning of  scientific  projects for supporting Occupied Territories  and international scientific events and Grant Call  for  scientific research of Frontier Regions of Georgia and Georgian State Grant  Call for Scientific Publications.

The Director General of the Foundation spoke about the importance of Georgia's joining EURAXESS - new opportunities and services for Georgian scientists.

At the end, Zviad Gabisonia answered the questions of famous scientists participating in the meeting, listened to their views and suggestions on current important issues.
