On December 19, at Kakha Bendukidze University Campus within the framework of project # 218050, - "Finding, Regeneration and Characterization of Unique Species of Local Genetic Resources of Plants Protected in Foreign Genbank" funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, presentation of the final results of the project and bilingual publication - "Catalog of the Biodiversity Catalog of Georgian Meadow corps " was held.

Within the framework of the project, recurrence of unique samples of genetic resources characterization of the most important plant crops (cereal, millet, vegetable, legumes and fiber-lubricate) exported from Georgia in different periods and preserved in foreign banks, their taxonomic and species identification, discerption of morpho-physiological and biochemical, were evaluated according to intergovernmental standards. Specimens with unique features identified in the research were grouped into so-called Axial collections, their medium and long-term conservation were implemented.

The Catalog of Biodiversity of Georgian Meadow Crops has been published on the basis of characterization data, photos and scanned material according to international descriptors of identified samples. 76 samples of the 20 most important agrarian biodiversity cultures of Georgia are presented in the catalog.
