On October 4, at Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia within the framework of the workshop, meeting between subdetector of international collaboration CMS’s RPS, professor at University of Bari Gabriella Pugliese and Director General of Rustaveli Foundation Zviad Gabisonia was held.

At the meeting, prof. Zviad Gabisonia introduced in details the Foundation's current activities and future plans. He emphasized the Foundation’s close and successful cooperation with CERN. He separately noted the Foundation’ support towards participation of Georgian group in the CMS experiment and expressed its readiness to continue supporting the Georgian scientists in CERN in the future.

Professor Pugliese emphasized the broad activities planned by the Foundation, which is a serious support for Georgian scientists. She noted that the Technical University Group plays one of the leading roles in the RPC subdetector and has successfully and closely collaborated with other subdetector groups of the CMS experiment.

The meeting was attended by members of the Technical University’s CMS Experiment Team.
