ERC Information Day

On April 16, 2019 at 10:00, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia hosted the Information Session on European Research Council (ERC). The European Research Council is the part of EU Framework Programme of Research and Innovatrion ,,HORIZON 2020”, and it promotes the highest quality research across all the fields of science in Europe. Participation in ERC Grant schemes is open for Early Career Researchers as well as the scientists with the outstanding scientific background and research experience.

Information Session was conducted by the Scientific Officer, Panel Coordinator from ERC Executive Agency (ERCEA) - Prof. Vaida Bankauskaite. With the conducted presentation, Prof. Bankauskaite reviewed key points about ERC:

  • European Research Council grant schemes and funding opportunities for the Georgian Scientists
  • Work Programme 2019 of ERC
  • Application Procedures
  • Evaluation process of Project proposals in ERC Grant Calls
  • Basic Features for the preparing Project Proposal for ERC Grant Calls.

The Information session was attended by the Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. The second part of the event was dedicated to the  Rustaveli Foundation presented Georgia’s experience and planned activities for supporting Georgian scientists’ participation in Horizon 2020.
