EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation ‘Horizon 2020’

Info day and seminar for National Contact Points.

The agreement associating Georgia to Horizon 2020 was signed on 29th of April, 2016 on behalf of the European Commission by Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, and Tamar Sanikidze, Georgian Minister for Education and Science.

On 30th of May, 2016 at ‘Adjara conference hall’ of ‘Holiday Inn Tbilisi’ Hotel (Address: 26 May square #1, Tbilisi, Georgia, 0171), an  information event will be held regarding EU framework Programme for Research and Innovation ‘Horizon 2020’ and seminar for Georgian scientists and National Contact Points.

The aim of Info Day is to provide Georgian scientists with practical information about Georgia’s participation in EU framework programme for research and innovation. For the purpose of sharing of experience experts from European Commission, EU countries and associated countries are invited. following topics will be discussed as part of the Info day:

  • Review of Horizon 2020 programme (Grant opportunities, international collaboration, topics related to project proposals)
  • Supporting of National Contact Points and mechanisms of intensifying informational-consulting events.
  • Using Horizon 2020’s opportunities in the framework of science and business collaboration
