CERN - European Organization for Nuclear Research

The aim of the program: with the cooperation of European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR Dubna, Russia), within the framework agreement, enable advanced Georgian scientists – physicists, engineers and technicians to participate in international modern research projects and deepen their scientific-technical relations. Worth to mention that researchers will use the results of collaboration only for non-military purposes. The enrollment of Georgian scientists in the above-mentioned centers will be possible through sharing of human resources, as well as, through the availability of Georgian scientists on CERN and JINR’s research technologies, equipment, materials and infrastructure.

Target Group: institutions of higher education and research of Georgia, with the relevant competence in experimental and theoretical physics, cosmic rays’ physics, electronics, informational technologies and in the fields of coordinate computing, young scientists, PhDs. Higher education institutions that can participate in international centers’ research projects include: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University’s 3 institutes - High Energy Physics Institute, A. Razmadze Mathematical Institute, E. Andronikashvili Institute of Physics; Ilia State University and Georgian Technical University.
