Results of Conference Grants Competition 2010
In April 2010 Rustaveli Foundation announced a call for proposals for the Conference Grants Competition. The goal of the competition is to facilitate arrangement of local and international conferences, congresses, forums, symposiums and seminars in Georgia as well as sustain exchange and share of information and experience, develop research activities, promote the works of Georgian researchers in international journals, periodicals, and research publications and thus facilitate their integration in the world processes.
There were 20 projects participating in the competition. The accepted applications were evaluated by the Competition Committee, and the results were approved by the Scientific Board of the Foundation.
The following two projects will receive funds from Rustaveli Foundation:
- Archaeology of Georgia at the turn of the century: results and perspectives, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Academician Othar Lordkipanidze, Project Director - Prof. Darejan Kacharava, implementing organization: National Museum of Georgia. The conference will be held on October 28 - November 1, 2010;
- Tao-Klarjeti: history and prospective on in the context of recent research, Project Director – Buba Kudava, implementing organization: National Manuscript Center. The symposium will be held on October 4-8, 2010;
