Results of the joint call for Georgian Studies - Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and the University of Oxford

SRNSF and The University of Oxford joint call aims at supporting the development and popularization of interdisciplinary research in Georgian Studies in line with international standards; increasing the motivation of young scientists and developing their research potential. The program also aims to disseminate information among international academic networks on current research related to Georgia’s history, culture, language and literature, archeology and arts, religion, social, economic and political transformation. Georgian Programme seeks to support the development of collaborative links and creation of research consortium in order to maintain multilateral sustainable international cooperation.

Overall, 11 proposals were submitted to SRNSF for the call of 2015. One proposal (uogsp 2015-006) was cancelled due to its incompliance with the call terms and conditions. Following the first stage evaluation, 8 applicants were interviewed by the joint evaluation committee of SRNSF and the University of Oxford. Finally, 2 project proposals were selected for funding.

The selected candidates will be granted a 12-months fellowship for a research visit in the University of Oxford, School of Interdisciplinary Area studies, The Russian and East European Studies Centre (www.rees.ox.ac.uk/georgian-programme) to conduct a research in collaboration with the distinguished mentor at the university of Oxford.

The selected candidates are kindly requested to provide the documentation indicated in Director General’s decree until December 15, 2015 18:00.
