Call for Postdoctoral Internships 2016

 The competition aims to encourage young scientists improve their professional qualifications, establish international scientific contacts, expand their experience and learn to use the latest research technologies at the leading scientific centers abroad.

In order to obtain funding, the application may be submitted by Georgian citizen, a young scholar permanently residing in Georgia, who speaks English or the country's official language where he/she plans internship, has PhD or an equivalent degree awarded in the period of last 7 years starting from the announcement date, or is a resident or a doctoral student who engages in research activities at the scientific research institutions or authorized higher educational institutions.

A young scientist, who has received the same competition grant a year ago, cannot take part in 2016 competition (during 1 year from the end of previous internship grant period).

The minimum duration of the grant project is 2 months, and the maximum duration - 6 months. If necessary, it is possible to request duration of 7, 8 months, which require additional substantiation by the applicant of the additional internship period. (A detailed work schedule for the additional months and the need for the additional period should be substantiated in writing by the inviting party).

Scientific research internships shall start from October 1, 2016 and be completed by November 1, 2017.      

Requested Foundation funding shall not exceed 35 000 Gel.

Completed competition application form together with attachments and all the relevant documents must be submitted electronically, in the form of scanned PDF format, to the following e-mail address: ig@rustaveli.org.ge by 17 May 2016, 18:00;

Printed and signed Statement “on the participation in 2016 science grant competition for Young Scientists Internship Abroad” must be submitted to the Foundation’s Office by 19 May 2016, 17:00.

In case of violation of the terms and/or incomplete documentation presented, the project will be removed from the competition.

In order to receive answers to any questions related to the terms of the competition, group consultations will be held for the participants according to the following schedule:

Tuesday, 26 .01.16 16:00 at the Foundation’s Conference Hall

Monday, 08.02.16. 16:00 at the Foundation’s Conference Hall

Tuesday, 23.02.16. 16:00 at the Foundation’s Conference Hall

Additionally, one outdoor group consultation will be held, the date and place will be disclosed through the web site.
